Nunawading Railway Station

Nunawading Railway Station used prefab architecture to facilitate a fast-tracked timeline and high-quality transport construction project. It also had to integrate seamlessly into a larger urban plan as part of the Springvale Road Grade Separation Project by Grimshaw Architects and head contractor John Holland.

The building incorporates staff facilities, station amenities and modern transportation facilities, all clad in highly robust vitreous enamel panels that provide anti-vandalism qualities. A combination of seven module types includes curved glazed walls, high ceilings, finished bathrooms, offices, IT and customer service spaces.
